CatalogAPI MCP server

A public, read-only MCP server for CatalogAPI, the global rewards and gift card API.

Connect it and your assistant can answer questions about reward coverage, catalog contents, and how the integration works using our real data instead of guessing.

No API key. No signup. Nothing to install.

What you can ask

Once connected, questions like these get answered from live data:

• "Can we send rewards to recipients in Poland, Brazil, and Japan?"
• "What kind of rewards are available in Germany?"
• "How do rewards actually reach a recipient?"
• "What does a catalog price mean? Is that what my users pay?"
• "What would integrating this look like if we already have a storefront?"

All four are read-only. The server exposes nothing that is not already public on api.catalogapi.com/browse.

Two things worth knowing

search_rewards returns examples, not inventory. It reads a demonstration catalog, and it does not return pricing. For a definitive answer about what a country supports, use check_coverage.

check_coverage is the authoritative one. If the two ever seem to disagree, believe check_coverage.

Postman collection

postman/ has a collection covering the REST API itself: 35 requests across the cart, catalog, and order lifecycle, plus a sandbox environment.

The environment ships with an empty apiKey. Create a sandbox key from your dashboard after signing up, and fill it in.

About this repository

CatalogAPI is a commercial service and its implementation is not open source. This repository is the public home of the MCP server: documentation, client configuration, the Postman collection, and an issue tracker. The server runs at the endpoint above.

The MIT licence covers the contents of this repository, meaning the documentation and the Postman collection. It does not cover the CatalogAPI service, the API, or the catalog data, which are governed by your agreement with us.
