Quick Start

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+
  • npm or pnpm
  • An MCP-compatible client (e.g., Claude Desktop)
  • A codebase to analyze

Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/Atomic-Germ/mcp-optimist.git
cd mcp-optimist
npm install
npm run build

Test the Server

# Run with coverage

Configure MCP Client

Claude Desktop

Edit your configuration file:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
  • Linux: ~/.config/claude/claude_desktop_config.json
